We use a range of strategies and resources to facilitate personalized learning, including regular one-to-one coaching, online portals for students and parents, log books and a thematic curriculum model in Key Stage 3. Through these, and through outstanding teaching and high expectations, we aim to ensure that each student achieves more than they thought possible.

The school has strong links with schools in many countries, including Sweden, the USA and India. Through partnership with teachers and schools in the UK, we regularly develop our approach to teaching and learning based on the best research available. We were delighted to be recognised by the Whole Education network recently as one of five to have made the strongest progress nationally.

EWS is a “good school” (Ofsted, May 2014), and we aspire to be a great school. We believe that great schools support students to make both outstanding academic progress, and to become responsible, resilient and reliable young people. We have the advantages of two smaller campuses located in two villages, and have a college structure which ensures students have a sense of belonging and feel safe.

You are warmly invited to find out more about the school by visiting us on either campus. I look forward to meeting you.

Mr J Bennett, Principal
