Upper College is for students in years 10 and 11. Both sites have designated Upper College areas where students can come to work or relax with their friends in lunchtimes. Upper College staff also work centrally in these areas so that they are on hand to support with student queries or concerns.

Our team is comprised of:

Mrs Shah

KS4 Progress Learning Lead (South)

Mrs Cole-Pendrey

KS3/KS4 Inclusion Co-ordinator (South)

Mrs Lawrence

KS4 College Co-ordinator (South)

Mrs Osborn

Student Services Administrator (KS4 North)

We have good support systems in place for students, beginning with a dedicated team of Form Tutors. Students are well prepared for their GCSEs and future destinations with advice and guidance provided throughout the Academic Year.

Many GCSE courses have a controlled assessment element and focus is placed on all students having provision to achieve their best. After school revision sessions for both Year 10 and Year 11 are offered throughout the year so that students can prepare properly for both internal and external examinations.

Upper College also offers students opportunities to be involved in extra-curricular activities, ranging from sports teams to fund raising for local and global initiatives. Students are regularly rewarded for their hard work, whether through assemblies, reward trips or at the end of Year 11 prom.
